Kati Saari Photography

I changed my Instagram account name from saariphotography to islandoftales, because I feel my art is so much more than photography nowadays. I felt that the word photography was confining, and I wanted to accent the tale telling aspect. 

My last name Saari means an island in Finnish, so I wanted to play with that. Word island represents also one very precious place to me, our summer cottage is located on a small island, and many times I refer to that place simply  as “the Island”. 

Island of Tales is me.  I am Saari, Island, and I tell tales, so making claim on this name feels right.
